== Laboratory scale == Centrifugal partition chromatography has been extensively used for isolation and purification of natural products for 40 years. Due to the ability to get very high selectivity, and the ability to tolerate samples containing particulated matter, it is possible to work with direct extracts of biomass, opposed to traditional liquid chromatography, where impurities degrade the solid stationary phase so that separation become impossible. There are numerous laboratory scale centrifugal partition chromatography manufacturers around the world, like Gilson (Armen Instrument), Kromaton (Rousselet Robatel), and AECS-QUIKPREP. These instruments operate at flow rates of 1–500 mL/min. with stationary phase retentions of 40–80%. With the new rotor system created after 2022, LiLiChro was able to create a truly analytical instrument (miniLiLi) with a rotor internal volume of only 34ml, which means it can operate at a flow rate of 1ml/min. On the other hand, both the miniLiLi and the 140ml midiLiLi can operate with 90+% stationary phase retention.

Because a commercial TOFMS uses a higher voltage pulsed extraction with longer flight tube with other optimized conditions, it generally has better sensitivity and resolution than a suitcase TOF. However, in the case of very high mass compounds, the suitcase TOF shows as good resolution and sensitivity as the commercial TOF. The suitcase TOF was also tested with a series of chemical weapons agents. Every compound tested was detected at levels comparable to standard analytical techniques for these agents.
Luis Moroder (6 December 1940 – 18 May 2024) was an Italian peptide chemist, who pioneered research on the interactions between peptide hormones and cell membrane-bound hormone receptors. He later expanded this research to other biological systems of medical relevance such as protein inhibitors, collagens, and synthetic proteins. A hallmark of his research is interdisciplinarity as reflected in his use and development of methods in organic chemistry, biophysics and molecular biology. He was a co-editor of the five-volume Houben-Weyl, Methods of Organic Chemistry, Synthesis of Peptides and Peptidomimetics. From 2008 he was the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Peptide Science, the official journal of the European Peptide Society.

Selectivity of a cyclodextrin phase is dependent on two key factors namely the size and structure of the analyte since it is based on a simple fit-unfit geometric criteria. An aromatic ring or cycloalkyl ring should be attached near the stereogenic center of the analyte. Substituents at or near the analyte chiral center must be able to interact with the hydroxyl groups at the entrance of the CD cavity through H-bonding. α-Cyclodextrin holds small aromatic molecules, whereas β-cyclodextrin incorporates both naphthyl groups and substituted phenyl groups. The aqueous compatibility of CD and its unique molecular structure make the CD- bonded phase highly suitable for use in chiral HPLC analysis of drugs. One further benefit of CD is that they are generally less expensive than the other CSPs. Some of the major shortcomings of CD CSPs is that it is limited to compounds that can enter into CD cavity, minor structural changes in analyte leads to unpredictable effect on resolution, often poor efficiency and cannot invert elution order.
== Spectroscopy == Both the fluorescence excitation and emission spectrums of wild-type EosFP are shifted ~65 nm to the right upon excitation toward the red end of the spectrum. This spectral change is caused by an extension of the chromophore accompanied by a break in the peptide backbone between Phe-61 and His-62 in an irreversible mechanism. The presence of a crisp isosbestic point at 432 nm also suggests an interconversion between two species. An absorption peak at 280 nm is visible due to aromatic amino acids which transfer their excitation energy to the green chromophore. The quantum yield of the green-emitting form of Eos is 0.7. In the red shifted species, there are pronounced vibronic sidebands separate from the main peak at 533 nm and 629 nm in the excitation spectrum and emission spectrum respectively. There is another peak in the red excitation spectrum at 502 nm likely due to FRET excitation of the red fluorophore. The quantum yield of the red-emitting form is 0.55. EosFPs variants show almost no difference in spectroscopic properties, therefore, it is likely that the structural modifications which arise from separation of interfaces have little to no effect on the structure of the fluorophore-binding site.
The flow rate-enhanced chromatographic compression strategy has been applied to a diverse set of applications since the development of the GC-VUV method for residual solvents analysis. The fast GC-VUV approach reduced GC runtimes for terpene analysis from 30 minutes to 9 minutes (the deconvolution of monoterpene isomers is shown in Figure 4). It has also been demonstrated that GC runtimes as short as 14 minutes can be used for PIONA compound analysis of gasoline samples. Typical GC separation times range between 1 – 2 hours using alternative methods.

Historian David R. W. Bryer defines the Druzes as ghulat of Isma'ilism, since they exaggerated the cult of the caliph al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah and considered him divine; he also defines the Druzes as a religion that deviated from Islam. He also added that as a result of this deviation, the Druze faith "seems as different from Islam as Islam is from Christianity or Christianity is from Judaism". The incarnation of Jesus is the central Christian doctrine that God became flesh, assumed a human nature, and became a man in the form of Jesus, the Son of God and the second person of the Trinity. This foundational Christian position holds that the divine nature of the Son of God was perfectly united with human nature in one divine Person, Jesus, making him both truly God and truly human.
